With the Enigma project, I want to explore the mysterious universe of the human psyche.
It’s a theme that has always fascinated me, but it became central after my fibromyalgia diagnosis.
We are often inclined to build defense mechanisms, raising walls that hide us from ourselves and others. This prevents us from being authentic and, even if we don’t realize it, it distances us from our well-being.
The hard work on myself, in search of my identity, constantly shines a spotlight on these dynamics and pushes me to express them through art.
My marks, shaped with a palette knife using textured pastes, emerge from the canvas in an attempt to give form to something that escapes rationality: a desire to bring to the surface some fragments of those elusive secrets.
I experience Enigma as a personal therapy and, at the same time, I wish it could become a bridge between me and the viewer: a shared space, a mirror capable of showing that it is possible to be exactly who you are.
