One project in two series: "Two Faces of an Urban Soul"

17 October - 2025

I was born and spent many years in Naples, a metropolis where total chaos coexists with an intense, often theatrical vitality. Amid crowded streets, narrow alleys, and vibrant squares, I encountered vastly different realities: places full of energy, tension, and contrasts, where the harshness of life intertwines with the depth of emotions and the intensity of love. Here I find my origins, in chaos and passion, in the contrasts that have shaped the person I am today. From here begins my introspective investigation, like a therapy journey in which one seeks to return to the roots and start again.

My cities are not places, but emotional landscapes, where buildings become human presences. Through the series “Urban Visions” and “Abstract Cities” I explore the metropolis as a metaphor for the soul, in constant motion. Two different approaches, one symbolic and narrative, the other instinctive and textural, portray the same world, where desires and fragilities coexist. The choice arose from my desire to capture the complexity of change, as it reflects the way I am and how I perceive the world.

I use various techniques; in “Abstract Cities” the palette knives predominates. The iridescent accents of metallic colors dominate the paintings, contributing to the continuous transformation of light and perception.

From my worlds suspended between dream and memory, I hope this investigation can resonate in the hidden labyrinths of those who wish to look beyond.
